This is my first post on blogspot, i am a transport design student at staffordshire university. I have found this article on a project that toyota are proposing as a hybrid Le'man car. This may be a start in a new era for motorsport, other teams already run hybrid diesels such as peugeot and audi, but toyota's development into the hybrid for endurance racing could be a mark for a change in trend within motorsport. Starting with the Le'man series will also help global appeal into other fuel and power sources.
Although it is hybrid, it still looks like a conventional race car, wich proves that a different engine does not mean a completely different style of car, for instance the general public would say that a petrol hot hatchback is the opposite to a diesel estate car, why not a diesel hot hatch?
